Definition:Travel or spread from one part of the body to another. In breast cancer, the disease can travel by one or more from the original tumor malignancies through the blood stream or lymphatic system to the lungs, bones, brain, liver or skin.

When the cancer is diagnosed in phase 4, is called metastatic disease.
